Objective and Mission
The name Creating Possibilities for Kids (CPK) stems from the dreams of children who grow up in homes wherein one or both parents have a disability. Children of disabled parents certainly have a unique up-bringing. Most of them have opportunities for service unlike any imaginable for kids with able bodied parents. CPK recognizes these special children and has been created to give something back to kids who work so hard for their families.
Mission Statement:
Empower and strengthen children who have parents with disabilities.
- To provide resources to children of persons with disabilities, through organizations within the community, individuals with specialized training, and experienced educators. These resources shall provide opportunities to children through education, activities, and recreation.
- To promote self-confidence, and future success through music, art, academics, outdoor recreation, and youth and child counseling.
- To provide scholarship/grant opportunities for higher education, music and art programs, summer camps, and other activities.
- To promote family togetherness through activities in which each family member can participate.
CPK is here to help children learn to play the piano, paint masterpieces, throw a fastball, or go to college. In short, our goal is to provide possibilities so kids can make their dreams come true.
